Miss Chisolm began her Kingsmead experience in Reception class and was a hardworking, useful and kind student here. We are delighted that she has returned in a professional role, supporting learning in UKS2 and from September 2022 began training to be a primary teacher alongside her learning support role in school.
Maisie is currently working as a HLTA, providing class cover across the school and is the Play Coordinator for OPAL.
She is also a qualified Trauma Informed Lead for Cheshire West and Chester, providing support on the best strategies to meet the needs of children who present with a trauma presentation.
ELSA
Ms Dabrowska has taught in Poland where she trained as a teacher of early years. She supports learning for children with additional difficulties in LKS2 and works as our ELSA (emotional literacy support assistant).
Literacy support
Mrs Roberts worked as a speech and language consultant teacher before working at Kingsmead. She is also a qualified dyslexia teacher.
Mrs Harper leads performing, singing and instrumental tuition in school. Specialist music teachers provide instrumental lessons for children in years 4-6. Children learn in small groups on the same instrument.
Mr Harper teaches brass with us and Edsential Music Service. He leads the Vale Royal Training and Mezzo Bands and is the brass tutor for Cheshire Youth Orchestra.
Mrs Harper teaches performing on percussion instruments and singing in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. She is also our year 3 recorder tutor: children's first access to instrumental tuition. We provide a recorder, tutor book and teacher for year 3 after which many choose to continue their instrumental learning.
Mrs Harper also teaches our clarinet and saxophone players. She also teaches with Edsential Music Service.
Mrs Singleton teaches with Edsential and leads Super Strings at Vale Royal. She is also the conductor of Cheshire Youth Training Orchestra.
Qualified sport coaches who run after school sports clubs. Cheshire Judo provide clubs including Archery and Judo.
