Staying fit and active while under restrictions from the coronavirus is important for physical as well as mental health. Those of you with a garden can keep children healthy outdoors and gardens are providing ever changing interest as spring gets going. Those without a garden who live locally are blessed with the towpath along the river Weaver; at the moment people are being encouraged to walk in the open air.
The Vale Royal School Sport Partnership have provided online resources for helping children stay healthy.
Families can also access Five a Day Fitness at home free of charge. See the 5aD Members Letter to find our how you can register to get 5aD at home.
Sadly the National Trust took the decision to close their parks and gardens. However, Kingsmeadians have a fine five mile walk on their doorstep - the tow path offers a circular walk. Turn onto the towpath, walk either way (right to Riversdale Bridge or left up to Vale Royal Locks) which are two places to cross the river. You can nip over the river at the Blue Bridge if you fancy a shorter walk.
